Fundscrip Fundraising Benefits Everyone |
Our fundraising committee introduced Fundscrip as a way to raise funds needed to support our regular day-to-day expenses and outreach to our community. This campaign has been introduced to St Mikes by Trisha Sweetman who has used it with great success at Isaiah 40 to help with their fundraising activities. The beauty of Fundscrip is that it is not traditional fundraising because we are not asking for more money to support different activities at St Mikes. The way the campaign works is to change your usual shopping methods and to think about St. Mikes in the day-to-day purchases that you make. All of us have to purchase food for our families; gas for the car, clothing, and bus passes to get to work. Some of us also make renovations to our homes, have car repairs to make, or sport equipment to purchase. All of the purchases can be made and more using Fundscrip and its sponsors. All of your food purchases can be made using: All of your Gas purchases can be purchased using: Clothing, bus passes, beauty products, personal hygiene products can be purchased using: Home renovations can be purchased at: Gift cards for all the above stores plus other specialty stores can be purchased at: Since our fund raising committee began in March we have raised $1000.00. This is a great accomplishment and is easy and beneficial to St Mikes. We have had over 43 families try Fundscrip, since we began in March. This is a great beginning, currently there are about are about 8 families that use Fundscrip on a regular monthly basis. For the campaign to be a great success we would like to have greater than 20 families consistently participating. Please remember that the money made goes towards our regular expenses and reduces the need for revenue from church run activities. This is also good stewardship of our resources because it is not as much of a strain on our human resources required to set up and run these events. The activity is easy to run and coordinate, and it only requires a minute of your time. The best way we can continue to make Fundscrip an effective fundraising tool is to use it consistently and together. Using Fundscrip helps us all, at St Mikes and in our community.
