Rector's Warden Annual Report - 2007
Happy New Year to everyone! I can only hope that 2008 will be the start of bigger and better things for St. Michael and All Angels Church. I find it very hard to believe that a whole year has past since Fr. Tony asked me to be his Warden. I was always under the impression, that the place basically ran itself! But I was wrong!! This place is JUMPING and a veritable BEEHIVE of activity.
As a result of last years vestry it was decided that any long term rental of our church hall, would have to be approved by all parishioners by way of a special vestry meeting, where all the facts could be heard and everyone could make their concerns known. We have had two such meetings over the past year. We were approached by Mothering Matters and although they were approved, their plan never got off the ground. The second such meeting was in regard to the parish stand on the issue of S.S.B.Corporation meets once a month, and are together again at Parish Council Meetings.
My predecessor was very visible and had some free time to be on site at a moments notice. I on the other hand, work 10 hours a day, 5-6 days a week and do most of my Warden's duties behind the scenes. To that end, I would encourage you to address your concerns and any questions to me.
